Mikey at Crater Lake National Park, Southern Oregon - August 2009

Mike, or Mikey, is a native of New Bedford, Massachusetts and relocated to the west coast in the summer of 2004; first with a one year stop in Mount Shasta, California, followed by a move eighty miles north over the California border to Ashland, Oregon.  Mike has been studying metaphysics and spirituality since the age of twenty, but renounced the "spiritual buffet line" once he read Gary Renard's The Disappearance of Universe for the first time in the spring of 2007.  Mikey's first book, Dude, Where's My Jesus Fish?, which is based on Gary Renard's two books and
A Course in Miracles, can be ordered at his Home Page.

Mikey doesn't care what religion or spirituality you follow; everyone has to do what feels right for them.
So, Mikey is not interested in trying to convert non-Course people into Course people; the Course isn't for everyone, or at least not for everyone all at once.  I
t's something you have to be ready for, and even when you are ready, the Course is still quite a tall order.
So Mikey certainly isn't here to tell anybody how one should live his or her life, or what spiritual philosophy to undertake, and respects everyone's right to follow whatever path works best for them.

At the same time, Mikey is very dedicated to the integrity of the Course's message, what its saying, and what it is not saying.  Mikey is straight up for those who want to take on this path and isn't shy to compare what the thought system of the Course is teaching to that of others, as he is here to be truly helpful to those who are trying to follow this same spiritual path as himself.  Mikey refuses to compromise on the Course's message because once you have compromise you no longer have the truth.

Mikey's interests outside of Gary Renard's books and A Course in Miracles include veganism, music (mostly '80s hard rock but appreciates other types of music in small doses too), movies, fantasy football, and is currently hooked on a few TV shows; The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, The Killing, Rectify, Falling Skies, and True Detective

Mikey also enjoys using his digital camera to take pictures and make videos, playing fantasy football, and taking "trance" walks while rockin' out with his iPod in tow.  Mikey also enjoys rides in his jeep with the top down when the weather is nice while cranking out some of his favorite tunes from bands such as Bon Jovi, Motley Crue, and Metallica, to name a few.  Mikey definitely loves to laugh, even when there is nothing to laugh about, and enjoys karaoke too but doesn't do it often enough.

Mikey in a nutshell: Mikey is not easily impressed, however, he is easily amused; not easily offended but easily grossed out.  Mikey says the world is just a dream but you still gotta pay the bills.  Sitting on a warm toilet seat kind of gives Mikey the heebee jeebees, and if Mikey had a cat, he would name him Beavis.  Giddy up!

Update: I'm currently working on a 2nd book.  I'll start revealing some of the details at some point in 2014!
